Welcome to our Choice website. We provide activities and care for adults (ages 18 plus) with a wide range of learning disabilities from mild to more severe.

Our aim is to always be person centred, every person matters! Offering people a choice about what activities or events they want to take part in and to have plenty of fun. These sessions can range from learning and progression based upon assessed needs, to big days out in the community and fun themed weeks.

We want everyone to feel accepted, valued and appreciated – and with a wide variety of activities and sessions, we make sure that everyone has a special day with us!

Our Sessions

We run sessions throughout the week (Monday – Friday) at our two sites in Camborne and Redruth. We also run a Thursday evening session in Camborne.

If you’re interested in coming along or finding out more from one of our specialist team, why not get in touch. We will get back to you quickly and can usually process an application within a few weeks.

Who is Choice for?

We want to make Choice as accessible as we can to adults who have a learning disability. Our aim is to provide a placement to anyone who is able to respond well in a group setting, although we do also have 1-1 specialists on site. Many of the adults who attend our sessions have a range of disabilities or medical complications, that might include autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy other disabilities (including those who do not have a specific diagnosis). If you’re a parent, carer or part of an agency, please feel free to get in touch to find out more about the adults that we’re able to support.

What happens at Choice?

We’ve got an action packed and varied programme which is fresh and exciting each day. Our sessions are all about offering a choice to our clients, with a number of different activities on offer at any one time throughout the day.

Whether it’s arts or craft projects, game/fun days, a trip to the allotment to grow some fruit and veg, learning and educational based activities, big days out, or getting more active through our exercise and mobility based sessions (such as our Hip Hop class), everyone who comes to Choice is kept busy and entertained.

We recently asked some of the people who come to our sessions what they loved best about Choice and the most common answer was that they enjoyed catching up with their friends. We see ourselves as family at Choice – and both our clients and staff join together, listen to concerns, have fun – and always make it a special day to remember.

Days Out

We also love a good day out – whether it’s a local walk to the park, woodland strolls, a visit to the beach or  popping up to the allotment. Don’t forget our famous big days out and travel clubs, where we visit different locations throughout Cornwall, at times using various types of public transport as well as our own Choice transport. Visit our events page to find out what we’ve got coming up.

Want to make a referral?

We know how difficult it can be to get a referral set up for an adult with disabilities.

We can get back to you quickly and can usually process applications within a matter of days. Why not get in touch with us for any queries or to make a referral.

Our Activities

We give all of our clients choice in the activities that they want to get involved in. Whether it’s arts and crafts, games, quizes, hip hop, 1-1 quiet support or big trips out, we’ve got it covered.

There’s a real strong community here at Choice – and everyone values each other. There’s such a good programme of activities and everyone is looked after safely. It’s brilliant!
